Tecon Oil Services is a family-owned and operated, full-service oilfield company that has been providing quality oil service for over 30 years.

Tecon‘s team of experienced professionals provides a comprehensive suite of services that includes drilling, completions, production, stimulation, field operations and more.

Tecon Oil’s mission is to be the preferred indigenous Oilfield Service Contractor providing cost effective / leading edge Equipment / Tools, Rental, and Integrated Well Engineering Services to their customers at high investment returns to their shareholders.

Company History

Before becoming an all-indigenous corporation, TECON was originally Isle of Man-based and controlled by a group of American Investors through Alliance Oil Company of Houston, Texas. TECON became a Nigerian corporation through acquisition in 1991, even as it retained its Isle of Man identity from then on.

Services Offered By Tecon Oil

Machineshop & Fabrication

With a Machineshop dedicated to petroleum industry applications, Tecon Oil Services can machine and cut threads, reface / rebuild tools and manufacture tools and spare parts to API even higher premium standards. With very experience machinist, welders and fabricators, Tecon has capabilities to boost local content and value added to very substantial levels, and to save a lot in tripping time of important tools, parts and components.

Hydraulic Workover Services

Tecon currently owns six (6) Hydraulic Workover Units. Five (5) HWUs are presently in Nigeria – 225K HR; 340K ISS; 340K HR and 460K ISS x2. The sixth unit is on standby in the Republic of Congo – PNR. The first 225K Unit commissioned in October 1999 is named NIGERBLOSSOM 1. It has a pull capacity of 225,000 pounds and a maximum snub capacity of 112,500 pounds.

Oilwell Fishing Tools and Casing Whipstock Services

The bulk of Tecon’s fishing tools inventory is manufactured by Bowen Tools Inc., Houston Texas, the premier fishing tools manufacturing company in the world. Other system available are tools manufactured by Baker Oil Tools, Smith International (AZ-Servco), Houston.

Jar Rentals & Service Center Operations

A drilling jar is constructed to be able to assimilate the vibrations and rotations of loading that is associated with drilling activities.

These jars can be used for repeated operations, and they can be reset by string manipulation. The effectiveness of a drilling jar is determined by the rapidity of weight thrust into the jars.

Drillstring and Workstring Rentals

Technically deconstructing the future of the oil and gas drilling and the E & P industry commands that we totally embrace the industries rapid incursions and advancement into extreme, performance demanding environments commensurate with an equivalency on improvement on pre-existent equipment / materials.

Work Boat and Barges, Hire and Construction

Many drilling and exploration projects irrespective of size require high speed transport of goods, of personnel and equipment. We specialise in facilitating marine logistics and offer several utility vessels that can meet your project requirements. We have a series of boats to service the high speed and economical operations supporting.

Mobile Land Drilling & Workover Rigs

Tecon Oil Services through its subsidiary Nigerblossom Drilling Company Limited has Three Mobile Land Drilling and Workover Rigs in-country and a fourth rig under construction in the US. The first Rig is a 2009 Built-To-Order Stewart & Stevenson USA (S&S) 1000HP, Mechanical, Trailer Mounted Drilling / Workover Rig.

OCTG Procurement, Storage & Sales

Oil country tubular goods (OCTG) is a family of seamless rolled products consisting of drill pipe, casing and tubing subjected to loading conditions according to their specific application.

Drill pipe is heavy seamless tube that rotates the drill bit and circulates drilling fluid. Pipe segments 30ft (9m) long are coupled with tool joints.
