The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED), said it has attained 90 per cent repairs on damaged networks, which has put some part of Rivers State into darkness.

John Onyi, the Manager Corporate Communication of PHED, who made the disclosure, said the distribution company was working to restore power to all the affected areas, stressing that so far, about 90 per cent of the work has been completed.

Onyi explained the firm has replaced some of the poles that were destroyed by the windstorm two weeks ago, adding that at least, five feeders have been restored by the speedy work carried out by PHED.

Reacting to the natural disaster that culminated to the loss of supply to the affected areas, Syed Taha, the Acting Chief Executive Officer, PHED, appealed to the residents to exercise patience, while the damaged poles are being replaced.
