Kano state Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has said that the Kano Independent Power Project will be commissioned in October this year.
Addressing press men on Monday as part of his 3rd anniversary, Ganduje also said an over N1bn contract had been awarded for the construction of a transmission plant for onward distribution of the energy expected from the Kano IPP.
