We are a Solar Power Generation & Energy Storage Solutions Company with a focus on harnessing power from the Sun (Energy Harvest) for instantaneous usage and storing the excess generated power (Energy Storage) whenever energy demand is low, with the motive of creating platforms where going on solar is seen as an investment (Energy Investment Plan). We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Inverter / Solar Engineer
Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Install complete solar power system for our clients
  • Diagnose and Repair faulty inverters and other electronics components
  • Provide consultation on solar PV plant components such as modules, inverters, meteorological stations, and trackers.
  • Service electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of client’s residential property
  • Perform every electrical work needed to connect the solar system to the electric grid. This includes proper grounding systems, controls and all testing necessary.
  • Design of solar inverter system to meet client’s power/energy requirement.
  • Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of solar power systems.
  • Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives.
  • Create or interpret the solar panel installation plans, mapping out the steps of the installation and where all of the components will be installed.
  • Design photovoltaic (PV) or solar thermal systems, including system components, for residential and commercial buildings.
  • Create plans for solar energy system development, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
  • Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, and increase efficiency of solar installation projects
  • Create checklists for review or inspection of completed solar installation projects.
  • Prepare electrical single-line diagrams, load/panel schedules, and shop drawings for solar electric systems.
  • Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.
  • Perform computer simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system performance and energy production to optimize efficiency.
  • Provide technical direction and support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
  • Develop standard operation procedures and quality standards for solar installation work.
  • Perform electrical checks, test and evaluate photovoltaic (PV) cells or modules.
  • Perform thermal, stress, and cost reduction analyses for solar systems.
  • Review specifications and recommend engineering changes to achieve solar design objectives.
  • Plan and coordinate installations in compliance with safety standards.
  • Estimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for residential or commercial solar installation projects.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should possess an OND in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
  • 1 year working experience as an Inverter/Solar Engineer
  • Experience with failure analysis/diagnosis and the processes used to facilitate them
  • Minimum of 1 year of residential solar experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of solar service experience.
  • 1 year Inverter/Solar installation experience
  • Applicant living around Ketu, Oregun and Ikeja will be preferred.

Salary:
N50,000 – N70,000 monthly.
