Job Description
QHSE:

Ensures HSE policy fulfillment during his activities.

Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture in line with Company HSE Requirements and Rules.

Is responsible to ensures compliance with HSE Legislation, Company Standards and Procedures under his area of responsibility to ensure employees safety, legislative compliance, and responsible environment attitude.

Ensures compliance with Operating Procedures & Guidelines with the asset to ensure Process Safety, Operational Safety and Plan Integrity

Contributes to achieve and improve HSE targets.

Performs the updating of technical documentation.

Gives his contribution in Hazard Analyses, incident investigations, Root Cause Failure Analyses, process incidents advising his hierarchy about HSE issues and proposing corrective solutions.

Main Activities

Overseeing the execution of skilled preventive and corrective maintenance on cranes and forklift trucks, and various mechanical devices. To coordinate preventive and routine maintenance task.

Supervising the maintenance shops and conducting ad-hoc studies, STS crane, container handling crane, mobile harbour cranes, RTG’s reach stackers, tug master, and other terminal equipment.

Maintain and monitor STS/RTG terminal cranes, gantry cranes, mobile cranes etc. Plan preventive maintenance schedules and to carry out daily, weekly, monthly, half yearly and yearly inspection of all cranes.

Distribute, monitor and check all maintenance activities and provide technical assistance to the mechanics, technicians and electricians.

Install and/or modify mechanical and electrical equipment following proper codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, and other specifications.

Assist operational personnel as needed for operational tasks that are needed to successfully support production.

Operations:

He/she will be the focal point for all maintenance activities related to pedestal cranes and mechanical handling equipment.

This will include all maintenance planning, performance, and execution support to sites across Production & Operations to ensure mechanical handling equipment reliability & availability is maximized to ensure safe, repeatable, compliant, and efficient lifting operations.

He/she will Identify maintenance risks, intervene, and escalate potential issues before they impact safety or business performance.

He/she will also facilitate and drive continual improvement to maintenance strategies, maintenance metrics, trending & reporting to close gaps and maximise opportunities.

Implementation, integration & improvement of maintenance strategies and implementation programmes.

Provides deep technical support across P&O and confirms regulatory requirements and all relevant maintenance standards are applied.

Profile

Minimum level of experience required: 10 years or more.

Significant experience of pedestal crane maintenance, including preventative maintenance routines, work deferrals, work execution & work prioritisation

Significant experience and understanding of pedestal crane systems, including PLC systems, hydraulics, hoist winches, pumps, motors, hoist ropes, diesel engines, instrumentation, and control/safety systems.

Significant relevant experience and proven track record in mechanical handling maintenance activities associated with major offshore operating production facilities.

Relevant experience of offshore pedestal crane operations.

Significant relevant knowledge of pedestal crane and lifting national and international legislation, regulations, standards, and practices.

Relevant experience of lifting equipment purchase, testing, inspection, and maintenance.

Relevant understanding of performance standards and barrier health.

Languages:

English (D-Full professional proficiency).
