Environmental Tank and Containers, ETC, from a modest background, has expanded to become a rapid-response build-to-print fabricator of natural gas power plant components and gas processing equipment among numerous others.

ETC PowerGen presents a veritable opportunity for Nigeria and other countries and businesses in need of cost-competitive solution for large, outsized, close tolerance fabrications or pressure vessels for upcoming natural-gas fired power plant, cracker plant, refinery or gas processing plant.

With the greater demand for domestic energy options and the growing popularity of hydraulic fracturing throughout the United States, combined with abundant natural gas for power generation, ETC’s fluid storage solutions, pressure vessels and powergen components are becoming increasingly important in the Marcellus, Utica and beyond.

ETC is a leading provider of Frac Tanks, Mud Tanks, Pressure Vessels and AST’s since the beginning of the natural gas boom in the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays, while its close proximity to the drilling sites  makes it the easy-button for large-size fabrications.

Over the years ETC had expanded its reach and it has seen increased volumes of sales activity throughout the country, especially in the shale plays of Texas and Oklahoma.

The company boasts of an extensive experience fabricating power generation components, with a comprehensive engineering, fabrication, machining, and project management dedicated to serving the power generation industry

The company said it has the ability to fabricate large and complex components at competitive pricing, providing support design for manufacturability and also has thermal engineering capabilities.

The company’s robust and diverse team strives to consistently develop new features and  methods of production to save its customers time and money, meaning that each ETC product has features and options that can only be found in ETC’s equipment.

The company’s vertically-integrated philosophy makes the planning, scheduling and manufacturing of all its equipment completely controlled internally.

Each facet of its production, from material acquisition, development, to post-manufacturing processes, including written documentation, control of non-conforming products, and the transportation and delivery of finished equipment, all fall under internal control.

This control, the company said allows ETC the ability to ensure the quality of each product, and along with its 5S methods (sorting, simplifying, systematic cleaning, standardizing and sustaining), it is able to provide one of the safest and most productive facilities in the country and beyond.

Information obtained from the company pointed out that its process has been streamlined for efficiency, and would not be fully effective without a great team of employees implementing it.

ETC has grown to become one of the biggest names in the upstream, midstream and downstream markets of the energy sector. Each fabrication built in its Johnstown, PA facility is laid out by a robust team of engineers and manufactured by highly trained, certified craftsmen. Most items the company built are verified by an objective, third party firm to ensure exact quality standards are met throughout the development process.

ETC is a member of the JWF Industries family of companies. JWF Industries, a process-based manufacturer with more than 400 employees and facilities totaling more than one million square feet, has been operating for more than 25 years from its headquarters in Johnstown.

In an interview during a tour of the company’s facilities, Matthew Hughes, Director of Business Development, told Orient Energy Review that the company helps its customers come up with a lot of light weight solution because weight was a big issue, adding that the suspensions that were not substantial enough to hold the light weight, forcing the company to come up with a light weight solution.
